Do not forget your responsibility to protect democratic governance and loyalty to constituted authority, as it is non-negotiable.
"Always remember the numerous security challenges confronting our country, as you will be in positions and offices that requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Your novel ideas, solutions and innovative thinking will be vital to the success of the Armed Forces.
"You are now critical links between the political class and the lower echelons of the Nigerian Army. Accordingly, you must use this link to improve the welfare of the troops under you. Your actions must improve the Armed Forces. Be careful with your words and utterances and most importantly key into the vision of the COAS and that of the Armed Forces." he stressed
The CDS congratulated the families and friends of the newly promoted senior officers for their unwavering support and sacrifice. "Your love and encouragement have been instrumental to their successes, and I urge you to continue to stand by them as they take on their new responsibilities."

While congratulating the newly promoted Major Generals on their well-deserved promotion. Major General Akpor the Chief of Administration noted that the Nigerian Army has ensured that worthy and qualified officers and soldiers are elevated to higher ranks as and when due in line with the Chief of Army Staff's command philosophy to consolidate the transformation of the Nigerian Army towards bequeathing a well-motivated and combat-ready force that can effectively discharge its constitutional responsibilities within a joint and multi-agency environment.
He stressed accordingly, the 2024 promotion exercise for soldiers has since been concluded and released in October through November this year. In a systematic manner the promotion of decoration of young officers have also been have also taken effect as recommended by various promotion boards and authorised by the Army Council at different times of the year.
He said the Army Council also approved the promotion l of 73 corners to the rank of Brigadier Generalin the Nigerian Army. The Chief of Army Staff has authorised principal staff officers general officers commanding corps commanders commandants and heads of establishment to decorate the newly promoted Brigadier Generals at their respective commands and locations.
