The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded over 87 per cent of the results from the Ondo governorship election on its Result Viewing (IReV) Portal.
Voters across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State had turned out en masse on Saturday to elect a new governor to pilot the affairs of the state for the next four years.
The latest check revealed that 87:19 per cent of the results had been uploaded.
This figure represents the results from 2,934 polling units out of 3,933 units across the state.
As of 5:48:15 PM today, the results from none of the 18 local governments in the state have been fully updated.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has expressed satisfaction over the conduct of today's governorship election in the 18 local government areas of Ondo state.
The Ondo state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola who made this known while monitoring the exercise at the Ondo central area said the commission rose promptly where challenges were noticed.
Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola who was accompanied by some senior Inec officials said Bimodal Voter Accreditation Systems deployed for the exercise performed with little challenge.
According to her, INEC officials resumed promptly in all polling units and election commenced early in most of the area visited .
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 7 Abuja, Benedict Igwe, FCT police commissioner Mr Tunji Disu and other senior officers monitored the exercise in Ondo State.
