Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) Produces 7 First Class graduates

The Nigerian Navy owned Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) has graduated 100 students of 2023/2024 academic sessions out of which 7 obtained first class honours.

Addressing Journalists, the Director of Informatio, Commodore A Adams-Aliu,  disclosed this in Abuja on Monday at the International Press Conference of the 8th Edition of Heads of Navies/Coastguards Symposium at Naval Headquarters, Abuja 

Aliu said during the just concluded convocation. 100 students graduated and 7 made a first class while 51 and 41 students made 2nd class upper and lower grades respectively. Only one student graduated with a 3rd class grade.

He noted that the 3rd convocation ceremony which was well attended by several dignitaries in the academia and military, marked a remarkable step in the upward trajectory of the citadel of learning

He said on Friday 22 November 2024, the Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) held its 3rd Convocation Ceremony at the Ibusa Campus, Delta State. 

The Special Guest of Honour was the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla who was ably represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans Rear Admiral Ibrahim Abdullahi Dewu.

Commodore Aliu stressed that's  presently, ADUN has threee aculties namely, Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law.The Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences offers courses such as; Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, English Language, History and International Studies, International Relations and Tourism Studies. 

He also added that te Faculty of Science offers courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Cyber-Security, Computer Science, Forensic Science, Industrial Mathematics, Physics and Software Engineering.

"Thirdly, the Faculty of Law offers an LLB degree in Law. Additionally, a new faculty of Engineering is undergoing verification and will soon be established.

He encouraged Nigerians to explore the option of studying at the Admiralty University of Nigeria because the tuition and other fees were recently reviewed downwards. Admission into ADUN is through the approved processes outlined by the National Universities Commission.
