ZEENAT JOLADE BALOGUN

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved ZEENAT JOLADE BALOGUN, who departed this life on the 4th of October 2024. She was the first child of the Saidi Balogun Family.

We, the entire Balogun family, express our profound gratitude to friends, colleagues, and Well-wishers all over the world for being our beacon of light in our darkest hour.

Zeenat Jolade Balogun was a warrior who gave life her all. She was the embodiment of joy, acceptance, and resilience. More than anything else, she was HOPE, as she was a die-hard believer in the phrase "never give up."

She had the wisdom of a family matriarch, guiding the family only with love. Zeenat extended genuine friendship to everyone she encountered, no matter the circumstances of the acquaintance. All these loving qualities she shared with so many people serve as her lasting legacy.

There are only two dates on a gravestone: the day of birth, a dash, and the date of passing. No matter what we do in life, the dash represents it all. As we live our lives, we must choose between what is right and what is easy. Zeenat always chose what was right, both for people and for her family.

Zeenat was known for her unique slang phrases. Her parting words were, "Ko de wa ri be ooo, in time, popsy mo ma change," an imitation of a family staff member. Zeenat Jolade Balogun, there was nothing to change about you. Your character and conduct perfectly reflected your name, embodying righteousness, humility, and kindness. You were flawless, possessing both outward beauty and inner grace.

Allah giveth and Allah taketh. May Allah grant you Al-Jannah Firdaus.
