Command Day Secondary School Bids Farewell to 2024 Graduands, Urges them to Uphold Institution's Legacy, Pursue Lifelong Learning


Graduands of Command Day Secondary School have been implored to be good ambassadors of the great learning institution and to desist from any act that would deter her image and Never stop learning and striving for excellence.

The Commander, Army Headquarters Garrison, Maj. -Gen. Koko Isoni,was a special guest of honour gave this advise today, 31st July 2024 at the Command Day Secondary School Abuja 24th Annual Speech and Prize Giving Day Ceremony. 

Maj.General Isoni who was ably represented by Director AHQ Garrison Education Services, Lt. Col Sagir Isah urged graduands not to engage in cultism, cybercrime, hook up, don't be used as political thugs, learn important skills, don't take drugs, be good ambassadors of Nigeria and help your parents. 

He congratulated the graduating students of the citadel of learning as it has not been and easy journey. 

"I wish to encourage you to never stop learning. The journey may be challenging but with determination and hard work, great things hold can be achieved

Maj.General Isoni thanked the parents that have made the graduands what they are today and further urged parents to support the school as they have been doing. He commended the Commandant for his efforts and commitment to maintaining high standards and quality education. 

Earlier in his remarks, the Commandant of Command Day Secondary School, Abuja, Lt.Col OO Akise noted that the graduands have been tested by seasoned and astute teachers for the past years and have been found worthy in character and learning.

Lt Col Akise who felt so highly delighted and hornoured to have the privilege of hosting the 24 years edition of this year's speech and price giving day, affirmed that these wonderful young boys and girls started their journey 3 and 6 years ago, have passed through the academic system aimed at building them in character and learning and have satisfied the minimum requirement set by the federal ministry of education, by completing the Basic Education Certificate Exams and the Senior Secondary School Exams respectively. 

He said the graduation and Prize Giving Day  is the high point and marks the end of the year 2023/2024 academic session and will recognize student that have excelled in academics and also to encourage others to do more.

Lt Col Akise who congratulated graduands affirmed that he have no doubt in his mind that they all have the potential required to make Nigeria great, and he privilege to have been their Commandant at this point in time.

The highlight of the event is the Unveiling of School Magazine, Presentation of Souvenir to Special Guest of Honour and dignitaries, Cultural display, by DSSA and CDSSA Cultural Troops, Graduation lecture, Presentation of Prize/Gifts, and Presentation of awards by PTA.
