IGP Advocates Love, Tolerance For Peaceful New Year

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has sought for peace, love and tolerance amongst Nigerians in the coming year 2024.

The Police boss, in a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, extended the warm wishes of the New Year to Nigerians.

He called on citizens to embrace love and tolerance as pillars for fostering peace across the nation.

He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in building a harmonious society urging communities to strengthen the bonds that unite us and foster understanding among diverse groups. By embracing love and tolerance, the IGP affirms that we can overcome differences and work together towards a safer and more prosperous Nigeria.

The IGP reiterated that the Nigeria Police remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens while encouraging the public to collaborate with the Police and other security and law enforcement agencies by reporting any suspicious activities that may threaten the peace and well-being of our communities.

He said, "Together, let us embark on a journey of compassion, understanding, and cooperation. May this new year bring about positive transformations for our great nation."
