The Department of Civil Military Affairs of the Nigerian Army has announced the 2024 Chief of Army Staff Literary Competitions with the theme "THE NIGERIAN ARMY: PRIDE OF THE NATION" which is scheduled to close on Wednesday 31st January 2024.
According to information available to SpyeTV News, the COAS Essay, Art and Poetry Competitions have specific entry requirements that all applicants MUST strictly adhere to for each competition, they are as follows:
COAS ESSAY COMPETITION
1. Topics to be coined from the theme (Nigerian Army: The Pride of the Nation).
2. Length of the essay for primary and secondary schools should not exceed 2000 words while those for tertiary institutions should be between 3000-5000 words.
3. The essay should be the original thoughts of the writers.
4. Completed essays should be uploaded no not later than Wednesday 31st January, 2024
COAS ART COMPETITION
1. Arts works must have bearing with the theme (Nigerian Army: The Pride of the Nation).
2. All artworks are welcome, sculpture, painting, drawing, ceramic, photography etc.
3. A short description note should be submitted with all works.
4. Submitted works must be the original works of the artist and should not have been published.
5. Entries are to be submitted here.
Shortlisted entries be delivered to designated locations on a date communicated to the artist.
COAS POETRY COMPETITION
1. Should be original.
2. Poems can belong to any genre but must be related to the theme of the Competition.
3. Poems to contain a maximum of 200 lines and be submitted here.
4. All entries must be in English Language.
5. Entries should be original.
