Kogi: Troops Arrest Igàlà Mela LGA Chairman Over Vote Buying, Possession of Ammunition, Arrest 3 Others with an Unknown Security Vehicles in Okene

 


The Nigerian Army troops of 12 Bridage, 
security operatives comprising the Nigeria Police, NSCDC, and Nigerian Navy have arrested APC Chairman of Igàlà Mela/Odolu Local Government Area Onoja James Omachonu,  for money laundering, voting buying, a procession of ammunition, among others. 

SpyeTV News reports that the arrest took place today 11 November 2023, during the Kogi Off cycle Governorship elections. 

In another development, military troops intercepted and arrested three unknown persons inside tinted security black-coloured vehicles on election duty in Okene, Kogi State. 

SpyeTV reports that the arrest was effected by soldiers that mounted a barricade at Itakpe Junction shortly before Okene main town.
