The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army (GOC) Maj Gen BA Alabi has charged troops on discipline, commended officers and soldiers of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army for being upright and committed to duties.
He made this known at 4 Brigade headquarters Benin City during his operational visit to 4 Brigade area of responsibility on 26 September 2023.
During his address, Gen Alabi said - he has been briefed on the sacrifices the troops have been making in consonance with other security agencies in Edo State to curb the security challenges in the state.
He further reminded the troops that being a soldier is to be dedicated and to contribute to national security; which is in line with the command philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja – that is to transform the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, equipped and a highly motivated force towards achieving our constitutional responsibilities within a joint environment.
The GOC also expressed his gratitude to Commander 4 Brigade Brig Gen DH Ndahi’s efforts in renovating and remodeling some of the dilapidated blocks in the Cantonment.
The General Officer Commanding also visited Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport and Military Base Hospital Benin where he was briefed by the School Commandant Brig Gen ND Shagaya and Commander Military Base Hospital Col PO Aburime.
