The troops of the Nigeria Army from 181 Battalion, on Wednesday following an intelligence received from members of the public, stormed an oil bunkering site in Ekureokpe community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Sighting the troops on arrival at the river bank to the camps, the bunkers took to their heels leaving about 1400 litres of illegally refined products in polythene bags, stored in 12 drums in the deep forest.
The troops recovered about 50 of the used cooking drums which were destroyed by the military.
Other items at the 5 camps destroyed are 2 white Geepee storage tanks.
In the meantime, all recovered items have been destroyed by the troops of the Nigerian Army.
