The Federal Government, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), has received another batch of 137 Nigerian migrants from Libya.

A statement by the Southwest Zonal Coordinator, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Alexander Oturu, said the migrants were received at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.

Mr Oturu applauded the efforts of various government and non-governmental agencies involved in the success of the exercise.

He said the returnees “are temporarily taking shelter” at the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency camp by a tripartite agreement, and would be provided with onward transportation allowance to enable them to reach their final destinations

The migrants comprise 83 males, 51 females, one unaccompanied child and two infants.
