NDLEA Stray Bullet: Gov. Oborevwori Condoles With Family of 2 Yr Old Boy Shot

The Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has sent heart-felt condolences to the family of Ivan Omorhiakogbe, who lost a two-year-old Son to stray bullet, during an operation by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Delta Command, at Okpanam. 

The Delta State Governor, called on the NDLEA authorities and the Delta Police Command to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of the boy and injury to his brother, with a view to bringing the culprits to book and avoiding a future occurence.

Confirming the incident, the Delta State Police Command on Saturday DSP Bright Dafe, Police Public Relations Officer, said, "the command is aware of this sad and unfortunate incident. The case has been transferred to SCID Asaba, and all parties involved will appear before the CP on monday. Our heartfelt condolences to the family of the little child."

Reports say, a 2 years old Onose, who died after being hit in his lower abdomen, by a stray bullet alleged to have been shot by NDLEA men on duty. 

The 2 year old boy died in FMC Asaba, while being operated on. His younger brother was also hit in one of his eyes, but he survived after a successful operation.
