DEPOWA President, Mrs Musa Moves to Build on Founding Mothers of DEPOWA Legacies

The Executive Committee of Defence and Police Officer’s Wives Association (DEPOWA) paid a courtesy visit to a Former DEPOWA president, Malama Fatimah Ogohi in her abode to formally introduced the new DEPOWA president.

Malama Ogohi was the association's President from 1999 to 2003 with a lot of achievements to her name while serving as the President.

The familiarization visit which took place on Thursday 13th of July 2023 was led by the National President of DEPOWA and wife of Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Mrs Oghogho Musa.

In her brief remarks, Mrs Oghogho Musa said the visit is in a bid to build on legacies of founding mothers of DEPOWA. 

Mrs Musa also noted that, Malama Fatimah Ogohi's guidance and support is important to her as the 15th President of the Defence and Police Officer’s Wives Association (DEPOWA) for a smooth administration for the benefit of the members of the association.

The major goal of the association, Mrs. Musa also stated was to improve the lives and welfare of the Officers’ wives and their wards. 
She intimated Malama Fatimah Ogohi 
about her administration agenda and sought the moral support of the past leader of association for DEPOWA projects.

Malama Fatimah Ogohi, while receiving the DEPOWA Executives said she was highly delighted to host the esteemed wives of Nigeria’s Military and Police Officers. She promised to give support and guidance to the current DEPOWA where necessary.
She therefore called on DEPOWA to keep up their good works in the society for the betterment of humanity.
