The substantive and authentic National Chairman of Action Alliance, Dr Hon. Adekunle Rufai Omoaje has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to work hard to address the challenges that entangled the just concluded 2023 general election.
Omoaje, at a news conference on Wednesday, told journalists that his party is fielding candidates in the off-cycle gubernatorial elections to be held in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa states.
According to the National Chairman, within the last 18 months, the party's victory was thrown into an orchestrated crisis that succeeded in setting leaders against themselves, and members alike.
He said, Action Alliance has been sorely denigrated and contemptuously thrown into an externally induced and imaginary leadership tussle that had robbed the party of the much-needed peace to advance of the political ratings.
"This induced crisis shook the foundations of all that make a political party strong, and succeeded in creating descension among our ranks to the point of creating enemies among friends, foes of acquaintances, and weakened family fabrics that made our political association a once happy constituent.
"What started like a mere intrigue of infiltration from non-members of our party, who were long expelled and were long legally christened "meddlesome interlopers" by court judgements, - Barr. Kenneth Obiche Udeze and his cohorts, metamorphosed and became really practical and demonic attempts to take our political platform down, and flushed down into the canal.
"The skewed system that promotes impunity at all levels of our nationhood helped critically in sustaining the aberration of the satanic minded persons that became disciples of the devil on that long and painfully tortuous journey. Howbeit, the sweetness of this victorious ending."he noted.
The Action Alliance was last year beset by a leadership crisis, but a court last December affirmed Omoaje as the authentic national chairman of the party. The party chairman said that they have emerged from the crisis stronger.
