'Remain Diligent and Disciplined in Assigned Tasks Ahead' - Army Commander to Officers

The Commander 16 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 2 Joint Task Force (South - South) Operation Delta Safe, Brigadier General Sadisu Yakasai has enjoined officers recently posted out of the Brigade to redouble their efforts, and remain hardworking, disciplined and diligent in the discharge of their responsibilities in their new places of assignment.

The Commander gave the charge during a colorful send-off ceremony in honor of the posted-out officers, held at the 16 Brigade Python Officers' Mess, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on Tuesday 6 June 2023.

Brigadier General Yakasai lauded the departing officers for their commitment and zeal during their tours of duty which contributed to various achievements recorded by the Brigade within its Area of Responsibility.

He congratulated the officers on their recent postings and urged them to remain professional and innovative, while exhibiting a high sense of initiative and unwavering loyalty to constituted authority.

Speaking earlier at the event, the Chief of Staff 16 Brigade Nigerian Army, Colonel Ahmed Balogun congratulated the posted-out officers for a successful tour of duty and urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the Brigade in their new places of assignment.

Highlights of the ceremony were the presentation of plaques and gifts to the posted-out officers, and group photograph.

In attendance at the event were the brigade commander, Chief of Staff, Commander,16 Brigade Garrison, Lieutenant Colonel HA Sanni, Commanding Officer 1062 Brigade Workshop, Lieutenant Colonel EC Nwakoleze, Acting Commanding Officer 762 Supply and Transport Battalion, Major UE Buhari, the Acting Commanding Officer 562 Brigade Signals, Major AA Kutigi, staff officers of the Brigade and corps members, amongst others.
