Nigerian Army Retired Major General Uzamere Dies

A retired Nigerian Army Senior Officer, Major General Osasogie Idowu Uzamere, is dead.

The retired army officer died on Sunday after a brief Illness in his residence in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He was the Commander, Infantry Corps (CIC) Jaji.

RETIRED MAJOR GENERAL OSASOGIE IDOWU UZAMERE DSS psc plsc (+) fdc (+) FCISMN served as the following before retirement:

- Chief Logistics at the Army Headquarters, 2021

- Commandant in Nigerian Army College of Logistics Lagos between 2018 - 2020

- Commander Joint Taskforce Operation Pulo Sheild Sector 2  2013

– Commander 2 Amphibious Brigade Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, February 2013 – 2014

– Directing Staff National Defence College Abuja September 2011 – February 2013 (1 year 6 months)

– Chief Instructor Nigerian Army College of Logistics. Lagos circa October 2007 – September 2010 (3 years)

– Commanding Officer 73 Battalion OP Restore Hope, Bayelsa State, February 2007 – June 2007 (5 months)

– Directing Staff Nigerian Army College of Logistics, Lagos, April 2005 – February 2007 (1 year 11 months)
