A kidnapped victim, son of one prominent politician in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Hon Sabiu Majikira Shinkafi, has regained his freedom from the den of armed bandits.
SpyeTV News gathered that the boy was kidnapped recently during a bloody attack launched by bandits in Shinkafi town of Shinkafi LGA of Zamfara State during which a number of persons were kidnapped.
According to the YATAB Network, a non governmental organisation committed to anti-terror and banditry campaign in Africa, "the father of the boy is a prominent APC Chieftain in Zamfara State. Unfortunately, a ransome payment was made to secure his release, however, the family has refused to disclose the exact amount".
Military sources also informed the YATAB Network that ongoing clearance operations by ground and air forces have greatly affected the terrorists logistics and operational capabilities. "This could be the reason for the increased attacks on soft targets. However, we are unperturbed by this and shall not relent in our efforts ", the source added.
SpyeTV News on Friday reported that Bandits kidnapped one Alhaji Dadi Kware and two ladies in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, alongside some other persons.
A Military Intelligence source told the YATAB NETWORK that, the bandits arrived Shinkafi at about 1am on Friday 31 March 2023 and attacked residents of Shinkafi, leaving some persons injured.
The names of the other kidnapped victims were not given yet but as at the time of filing this report, SpyeTV News can authoritatively report that the kidnapped elderly man is Alhaji Dadi Kware, a prominent Islamic cleric of the community.
