MNJTF Sectors Must Intensify Joint Amphibious Operations to Get Rid of Terrorists in Lake Chad Region - Maj General Abubakar

 COMMANDER SECTOR 2 MNJTF CHAD PAYS AN OPERATIONAL VISIT TO SECTOR 3 OPHK/MNJTF MONGUNO




In a bid to rid the area of terrorist activities, the Commander Sector 3 OPHK/MNJTF, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar has emphasized on the need for both Sector 2 and 3 Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) to also intensify joint amphibious operations utilising the impressive array of offensive amphibious assets recently acquired along the Lake Chad waterways contiguous to both countries to enhance the entire dominance of the Lake Chad Basin.

Major General Abubakar made this assertion on Friday 3rd February 2023 when he received the audience of the Commander Sector 2 Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Bagasola, Chad Republic, Brigadier General Djouma Youssouf Mahamat at Headquarters Sector 3 Operation HADIN KAI/MNJTF in Monguno, Borno State.

The courtesy visit according to SpyeTV News is in an effort to sustain the momentum in the fight against insurgency around the entire Lake Chad region.

The Commander Sector 2 was received on arrival by Commander, Sector 3 Operation HADIN KAI/MNJTF, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, at the Sector Headquarters where further planning on projected joint operations under the direction of the MNJTF were unveiled.

Responding, the visiting Sector 2 Commander MNJTF, who was represented by the Deputy Commander Sector 2 MNJTF Brigadier General Oumar Adam Taher Silick thanked his host for the warm reception while acknowledging the need for enhanced synergy between both Sectors. 

He reiterated that Sector 2 looks forward towards collaborating with Sector 3 in the coming days to sustain the tempo of operations aimed at restoring lasting peace to the Lake Chad Basin communities to enable socio economic activities pick up once again.

Members of the entourage from Chad included the Commander Sub Sector 2 MNJTF, Colonel Mahamat Borgou, Commander Sub Sector 1 MNJTF, Col Adam Daidoru, Commander 18 Regiment, Col Al-hadj Brahim, Commander 1 Regiment and Col Abdou Yahaya Issak while Commander HQ 19 Bde, Brigadier General EA Orakwe, Commander 403 Amphibious Brigade, Brigadier General AO Ajagbe as well as other Commanders and Principal Staff Officers of Headquarters Sector 3 OPHK/MNJTF were also all in attendance.
