In a joint operation, the Security forces have neutralized two gun runners conveying sophisticated arms and ammunition from Taraba State to a terrorist camp in Zamfara. It was gathered that the criminals were decimated on Saturday, after an extensive gun duel that lasted for hours between the police and the arm dealers.
According to a statement released by the spokesman of the police command, SP Mohammed Shehu, the terrorists were accosted in a Toyota Corolla vehicle following an intelligence information.
Explosives, Aircraft Rifles, AK 47 Rifles, Rockets RPG and so on, were recovered from the arms suppliers two of which were fatally injured, leading to their death after the exchange.
