2023: Pray For Peaceful Elections, Vote Wisely - Apostle Edith Grace, Clerics Urge Nigerians at National Prayer Conference Abuja

The Apostle Edith Grace Ministry and some Christian Clerics have prescribed prayers as the way out of the current challenges bedeviling Nigeria, hence called for National prayer for the nation experience peaceful, free and fair elections, urging Nigerians to vote wisely and accept whoever wins as the will of God.

Apostle Edith Grace made the call on Saturday in Abuja, at the National Prayer Conference for Nigeria, with the theme, "Let the will of God be done in Nigeria" where she also advised Nigerians against putting their personal interest above national interest.

The cleric while speaking on the sideline National Prayer Conference said, "It is no news that our great country Nigeria is about to witness a leadership transition from one regime to another. The season to carry out another electioneering process in our country is upon us. Therefore, we call on Christians and well meaning Nigerians to join us in our National prayer conference to pray that the nation experiences peaceful, free and fair elections". 

Apostle Grace said things had gone wrong in the country because of lack of fervent and constant prayer by Christians.

She said that there was urgent need to seek God’s divine intervention for the 2023 general elections in spite of the spirited efforts by the government, the INEC, the police, military and other stakeholders to curb vote buying, political thuggery, killings, kidnappings, insurgency, armed robbery and other vices.

She urged Nigerians to accept whoever wins the election 

“We cannot rule out God’s intervention no matter the wisdom, energy and financial commitment toward curbing these menace, especially through prayers,’’Apostle Grace said.

The cleric noted that recently INEC offices were attacked in some parts of the country and the challenges were becoming too enormous for the government to shoulder alone, hence the need for support by the citizens and prayers to achieve results.

Appstle Grace thanked the participants for coming together to seek God’s intervention for peace and security in the 2023 general elections.

She said that the conference was initiated in 2022 by the Christian body to enhance regular interface among the Christian faith, adding that the Abuja Conference was the Special January series.

Ministers at the conference are, Rev Yakubu Pam, Archbishop All John, Bishop Daniel Okay, Bop Adm Ang, Bishop St Augustine, Enenche Senior Pastor, Pastor praise Etrol, Rev (Mrs) Deborah Josephi, Rev Chimozie John, Hon. Pst Benjamin Ikani Okolo, Apostle Toju Koso, Apostle A isaac, Dr Thompson Etul, Min Gina Pat, Tayo Christian, Chris Morgan and Abel Nnamadi.
