A remembrance service of Brigadier-General Zirkushu Dzarma and four other soldiers who died fighting against Boko Haram terrorists was held today, 13th November 2022 at the 28 Joint Taskforce Brigade Military Church in Chibok, Borno State.
The Officer and soldiers were killed on November 13, 2021 during a fierce encounter with terrorists in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State.
Speaking at the remembrance service, the Chaplain of the 28 JF Brigade Military Church in Chibok, Revd Adamu Musa, described the late Brigadier-General Zirkushu Dzarma and other late soldiers as fallen heroes for what he called “their supreme sacrifices to the Nigerian Nation”.
In his word, Revd S. Ime said ”How do we justify the death of those people that fought for this country to remain? In memory of the people that even died, let us even be nice to our country and continue to live right.
He said, Nigerians, especially the people of Borno State will remain forever grateful to them and all fallen heroes.
Prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the deceased. The remembrance service had in attendance the Commander 28 TF Brigade, Brigadier General BMG Martins, Commanding Officer Lt Col O Igheghe, Senior Officers and Soldiers of the Brigade.
SpyeTV News reported in 2021 13th November that personnel who died alongside the Brigadier General Zirkushu Dzarma are: Major Luka Barde, Lance Corporal Simon Solomon, Pte. Chagumeji Victor and Pte. Danyaro Umar.
