This follows the tension created by the security alerts of the US, UK and other Foreign Countries regarding the threat of terrorist attack on the FCT, the nation’s seat of power.
This has led to panic in Abuja and recently the United Kingdom and the United State in their separate security advisory advised their citizens to vacate Abuja.
Our correspondent reports that, military, police checkpoints were mounted between Gosa and Centenary City, Nnamdi Azikiwe airport, Gwagwalda and Kuje axis, Soka, Nyanya, AYA, Suleija/Zuba, Abaji/Lokoja boundaries which caused heavy gridlock that spread inside the metropolis.
SpyeTV News also gathered that the deployment of the military detachment to the airport road may not be unconnected with the ongoing security efforts to foil any attempt by criminal elements/terrorists to infiltrate the FCT.
