The Nigerian Army has again showed public love and support for its personnel who Sacrifice for their fatherland, especially those who lost their lives since the beginning of this counter insurgency operation by presenting them with medals.
SpyeTV News reports that the presentation of medals took place today 1st October 2022 at 7 Division Nigerian Army, Maimalari Barracks, Maiduguri, Borno State.
In his remarks, the General Officer Commanding 7 Division/Commander Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI, Major General Waidi Shaibu said this important regimental activity, presentation of medals in the Nigerian Army Is an age long tradition of recognising, appreciating, honoring and documenting the services and efforts of our deserving personnel.
"Nigeria and indeed Nigerian Army are profoundly proud of you for sacrificing everything for our national sovereignty. Your contributions in the peace, progress and development of Nigeria and Nigerian Army cannot be quantified neither can it be equaled to the medals we are Gecorating you with today", he said.
The GOC assured that the NA would continue to count you among its best and most cherished personnel and that is what these medals signify and your names would be documented till the end of history.
He noted that it would be a source of pride and honour for you and your children yet unborn anywhere you go around the world. You would continue to be counted among the people who fought terrorism to a standstill.
He urged them to give their ultimate best til they completely decimate the remnants of BHTS/ISWAP marauding within our Area of Responsibility. 'The successes being recorded already Is a testimony of your bravery, dedication, courage and discipline'.
"Let me use this opportunity to share the COAS warm appreciation to you as we are gradually completing Operations DESERT and LAKE SANITY 1. I want you all to note that the Division has commenced the preparation for Operations DESERT and LAKE SANITY II", he stressed.
