1. MILITARY ‘TACTICAL OPERATION’ RESCUES POLICE PERSONNEL, CJTF MEMBERS FROM ISWAP.

PRNigeria - Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have rescued a police officer, four Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, fighters and three hunters, in the North East, PRNigeria reports. It was gathered that the policeman, together with the CJTF volunteers and hunters were initially suspected to have been kidnapped by ISWAP terrorists at Gubio in Borno State. But the Nigerian military swiftly launched a rescue operation for the policeman and local security volunteers after the ISWAP attack. A security source in the North East told PRNigeria that the ISWAP fighters first attacked the Rural Urban Migration Site (RUGA) at Pombom Baliya Village, about five kilometers from a military base in Gubio.


2. TROOPS ENGAGE BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS ON MAIDUGURI-DAMBOA ROAD, ESCORT TRAVELLERS TO SAFE DESTINATION.

SpyeTV - The major highway between Maiduguri to Damboa, and Damboa to Maiduguri highway has been closed as troops of Operation Hadin Kai engaged Boko Haram in a long shootout. SpyeTV News gathered that suspected members of Jamā'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihād, Boko Haram terrorists group on ambushed troops of Operation Hadin Kai escorting commercial vehicles from Maiduguri to Damboa in Falouja village in Borno State. A local sources who escaped the attack told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad that the ambush which triggered a heavy exchange of gunfire between the terrorists and the soldiers, forced the perssengers in the convoy to scamper for safety.


3. JUST IN: ISWAP TERRORISTS FLED ON SIGHTING ALMIGHTY AIR LORDS 'NAF SUPER TUKANO JETS', ABDUCTEES ESCAPED.

SpyeTV - In what we described as the arrival of the Almighty Air lord, the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) Terrorists group took to their heels after sighting the Nigerian Military Air fighter jets. SpyeTV News learnt that, at least seven Security operatives that were abducted by ISWAP terrorists in the early hours of Saturday in the North Eastern Gubio local government area of Borno state, escaped when their abductors escaped into the thick forest. A Police sources had earlier told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad how the security men were attacked and abducted at the Rural Urban Migration Site (RUGA), at Pompom Baliya village located about 5 kilometers to Gubio and carted away with hilux patrol vehicle.


4. COAS TASKS RETIRED OFFICERS ON MAXIMUM UTILISATION OF ENTITLEMENTS.

AREWA AGENDA – The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya, has advised the retired and discharged officers of the Nigerian Army to make maximum use of their entitlements. Yahaya gave the advice at the Regimental Dinner in Honour of Retired Officers of the Rank of Colonel and Below on Friday in Abuja. Represented by Maj.-Gen. Gbemiga Adesina, Director, Personnel Services, Army Headquarters, the COAS advised them to stay guarded against the antics currently being used by fraudsters to target pensioners and retirees for monetary scams.


5. SECURITY AGENCIES INTERCEPT CACHE OF LIVE CARTRIDGES, ARREST 3 SUSPECTS.

SpyeTV - The Lagos State Police Command said, its operatives of Ikorodu Division have intercepted two commercial buses loaded with large quantity of live cartridges, three dismantled motorcycles and some personal effects at Poromope Estate, Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State. Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin made this known in a statement signed and made available to SpyeTV News on Saturday. Hundeyin explains that, preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects, Tukur Abdullah ‘m’ aged 35, Muazu Telim ‘m’ aged 50 and Dahiru Idris ‘m’ aged 36 were on their way to Katsina State. 


6. TWO SUSPECTED BOKO HARAM COLLABORATORS ARRESTED IN KADUNA WHILE ATTEMPTING TO WITHDRAW N14M DEPOSITED INTO ACCOUNT OF TERRORIST FINANCIER.

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami, made this known during the bi-weekly media briefing on military operations across the country held at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, September 22.

Speaking on phone with some of his acquaintances, Turji expressed his bitterness over the air raid on his abode and the killing of vulnerable people.


8. 10 SUSPECTS ARRESTED ALLEGEDLY FOR SUPPLYING GUNS, MILITARY UNIFORMS, TO BANDITS.

Crimechannel - No fewer than ten persons have been arrested and paraded by the Zamfara State police command for supplying arms/ammunition, food stuffs, motorcycles, military uniforms and other delicate items to bandits in the state. This was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, in the aftermath of a press briefing held in Gusau, the state capital recently. Shehu explained that the arrested persons were apprehended by the state Police Tactical Operatives during an intelligence-led operations conducted in some criminal hideouts in Gusau and Tsafe LGAs respectively.


9. SMUGGLERS ATTACK SECURITY OPERATIVES, ABANDON 81, 425 STOLEN PETROL AFTER BLOODY SHOOTOUT.

Crimechannel - In the early hours of Thursday, at Badagry area of Lagos State, smugglers shot severally at customs service officers in an attempt to smuggle 81,425 liters of Petroleum Motor Spirit. This was disclosed by the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, of the Nigeria Customs Service. The acting Customs Area Controller in charge of the unit, Deputy Comptroller Hussein Ejibunu, in a statement said that despite the shooting, the officers were able to seize the products.


10. POLICE OFFICER, SEVEN HUNTERS ABDUCTED BY SUSPECTED TERRORISTS.

Crimechannel.com - In North Eastern Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State, no fewer than seven security men were kidnapped by the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists group. According to report, the security men comprising one policeman, four members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and 3 hunters, were abducted after they were overpowered by the terrorists who stormed their location in large number.


11. DANGEROUS WEAPONS RETRIEVED, SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER SHOT DEAD AS POLICE RESCUE 2 VICTIMS.

The Edo State police, on Thursday, killed a suspected kidnapper at the small community of Obadan along the Benin-Auchi Road. The Edo State police deputy spokesperson, Jennifer Iwegbu, who disclosed this Friday in Benin explained that two victims; one Samson Osegbowa, 65 and Stanley Peters, 38 who were abducted while working on their farmland at Ago-Orio, Uhunmwonde local government area were rescued by the police.

14. CP REACTS AS UNDERGRADUATE KILLS BOTH PARENTS, LEAVES DECOMPOSING CORPSES IN ROOM.

Crimechannel - A yet to be identified man, said to be a student of a university in Anambra State has allegedly killed his father and mother. Report revealed that the the dead bodies were found in the deceased room on Thursday night at Nnewi, Anambra State. According to a source, the man and his wife’s decomposing bodies were found by neighbors after they perceived offensive odor. The couple is believed to have been murdered by their only son, the source added.


15. POLICE WILL ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR DRESSING, BEARDS, APPEARANCES- LAGOS PPRO.

Newsonline - Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP, Benjamin Hundeyin, has said that personnel of the Nigeria Police will always pay attention to the dressings, beards and appearances of the citizens in fighting crimes. Newsonline reports that the Lagos PPRO argued that available statistics on crime has proven a connection between appearance and crime and has brought positive result in crime fighting.


16. 15 PEOPLE KILLED AS GUNMEN HID AK-47 RIFFLES UNDER THEIR CLOTHS, ATTACK WORSHIP CENTRE

Crimechannel - Bandits who disguise as worshippers invaded a Juma’at mosque in Ruwan Jema town of Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing no fewer than 15 worshippers. They attack was said to have left many injured. A source said the Friday attack “came 3 weeks after the terrorists attacked a Friday mosque in Zugu town in the same local government area where 45 worshippers were kidnapped.” “The bandits hid their AK-47 inside their clothes and pretended to be worshippers.


17. ONE OFFICER ALLEGEDLY KILLED AS TERRORISTS ATTACK POLICE CHECKPOINT, ISWAP CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY.

Crimechannel - The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) faction of Boko Haram, formerly known as Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād, has claimed responsibility for the attack on a police checkpoint in Edo State. The attack which occurred in the state on Thursday, September 22, 2022, was said to have taken the life of a policeman in the process A few hours prior, ISWAP claimed that it’s militants attacked a police vehicle in Ondo State.


18. IGP SPEAKS AS PHYSICAL SCREENING OF APPLICANTS FOR POLICE ACADEMY ADMISSIONS COMMENCES.

Crimechannel - The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali has warned applicants and officers and men of the Nigerian Police who will be actively involved in the forthcoming physical screening exercise for applicants who successfully registered for admission into the 9th Regular Course of the Nigeria Police Academy Cadet Degree Programme to shun illegality and any other forms of criminality during the exercise as such would invite severe sanctions.


19. ARRESTED KIDNAP KINGPIN PLEADS FOR MERCY, SAYS: ‘MY WIFE JUST GAVE BIRTH’.

Theeagleonline - A man who flaunts money on social media and encourages his followers to “hustle”, John Ewa, has been arrested for alleged kidnapping. The man, nicknamed Lion, is said to be a dreaded kidnap kingpin, who operates mainly in Bayelsa State and returns to Abuja. He was traced to Abuja from Bayelsa State by operatives of the Bayelsa State Police Command. A video of Lion after his arrest showed him begging for mercy.


20. JAIL BREAK: NCOS BEGINS JOINT INTERAGENCY STIMULATION TRAINING.

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), FCT Command, has begun a joint interagency stimulation training to secure all custodial centres in the territory. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the command, Chukwuedo Humphrey said this in a statement issued Sunday in Abuja. Humphrey disclosed that the maiden joint interagency simulation training was conducted at the Kuje custodial centre. He indicated that the stimulation training involved the Correctional Service armed squad, Military, Police, Civil Defence and Immigration service personnel.
