1. NIGERIAN TROOPS NEUTRALISED 35 TERRORISTS AND RECUES 130 CIVILIANS.
VON - The Nigerian troops of Operation HADIN KAI have neutralised over 35 terrorists, rescued 130 civilians and arrested 46 suspected Boko Haram Terrorists. Twelve suspected Boko Haram Terrorists/Islamic State of West Africa Province logistic suppliers in North-east, Nigeria were also arrested. The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami stated this during a Bi-weekly briefing in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital saying the briefing covered the period from 8th to 22 September 2022.

3. TERRORISTS' COMMANDERS TAKE TO HEELS AFTER SIGHTING TROOPS, LEAVING BEHIND WIVES, CHILDREN.
YERWA EXPRESS NEWS - The troops of the Nigerian Army in collaboration with the Civilian Join Task Force, CJTF, have captured over 100 women and children believed to be family members of the Islamic West African Province's fighters. An intelligent source who hinted our reporter of the development said the women were found on Saturday and Sunday after series of raids by military special forces with the help of CJTF along Wulde and Chugolo, all villages under Bama Local Government Area of Borno.
4. BREAKING: ABU MUSTAPHA, COMMANDER WHO LED ISWAP TO EXECUTE SHEKAU SURRENDERS.
YERWA EXPRESS NEWS - Abu Mustapha who led gangs of the Islamic West African Province to Sambisa Forest to execute Abubkar Shekau has surrendered to Nigerian Army. He was received by troops of 151 Task Force Battalion of Operation Hadin Kai on Tuesday at Banki Junction in Bama Local Government of Borno State. He surrendered on Tuesday with his wife, and 15 others, comprising women and children, as a result of intensive military operations within the axis of Sambisa Forest where he operates.
5. ISWAP KILLS TWO BOKO HARAM COMMANDERS IN BORNO.
THE GUARDIAN - The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have killed two Boko Haram commanders in Gaizuwa community of Bama Local Council of Borno State. Abou Hamza and Abou Ibrahim were killed after ISWAP fighters stormed their hideout camp by midnight on September 17, 2022. Confirming the incident, yesterday, in Maiduguri, a counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, disclosed that the commanders were executed in a silent operation of ISWAP terrorists. He added that their bodies were found in their homes in the early hours of September 18, 2022.
6. TWENTY REPENTANT BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS DIE, CAUSE IF DEATH REVEALED.
CRIMECHANNEL.COM - A Cholera outbreak has reportedly killed no fewer than 25 persons including 20 repentant Boko Haram fighters in the Hajj camp in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital. According to the Daily Trust, about seven persons died on Tuesday, while the 14 other causalities were recorded in the Hajj camp on Wednesday. The newspaper reported that health workers with the support of Non-Governmental Organisations and the World Health Organisation are battling to control the fatalities. Confirming the incident, a source annonymously said: “At least 20 Boko Haram surrenders have died as a result of cholera outbreak in Hajj and four others died in Bama camp.
7. 17 BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS SURRENDER TO TROOPS.
BARRISTERNG.COM - Following renewed military onslaughts by gallant troops of Operation Hadin Kai, 17 Boko Haram terrorists including their family members on Tuesday surrendered their weapons to troops of 151 Task Force Battalion deployed at Banki-Junction in Bama LGA of Borno State. Authorities of the Force say profiling of the surrendered terrorists is ongoing, after which the individuals will be handed over to the appropriate agencies for further handling.
8. ASSAULT ON WOMAN POLICE: IGP ORDERS IMMEDIATE PROSECUTION OF SUSPECTS.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has strongly condemned the grievous assault of a female Police Officer, Inspector Teju Moses, by her principal who is a Legal practitioner and human rights activist, Prof. Zainab Duke Abiola and her domestic staff comprising the housemaid, one Rebecca Enechido and a male suspect currently at large. Media reported how Zainab Duke grievously assaulted her orderly in company of some accomplices on Tuesday 20th September 2022 at her residence in Garki, Abuja, due to the refusal of the orderly to breach professional ethics by carrying out menial and domestic chores at her house.
9. HOW NOTORIOUS BANDIT LEADER, DOGO GIDE, FORCEFULLY MARRIED MY DAUGHTER – PARENT CRIES OUT.
NEPTUNEPRIME.COM - Notorious bandit leader, Dogo Gide, has reportedly married off eleven of the students abducted from the Federal Government College Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State. Sani Kaoje, the father of one of the students, Farida Kaoje, 16, disclosed this in an exclusive interview with Premium Times. Recall that on 17 June 2021, terrorists invaded the school and abducted over 90 pupils and teachers of the school. Immediately after the attack, the military announced the rescue of five students and two teachers. Two days later, three pupils and a teacher were rescued by the military. Two students also escaped from the terrorists’ camp.
10. BREAKING: RESIDENTS ESCAPING BANDITS’ ATTACK IN ABUJA DROWN.
CRIMECHANNEL.COM - At Chakumi village in Gurdi ward of Abaji area council of Abuja, no fewer than five persons drowned, while attempting to escape being kidnapped by bandits. According to Daily Trust, Chakumi shares boundary with neighboring Daku village through river Gurara in Dobi ward of Gwagwalada area council of the the nation’s capital. Mohammed Magaji, the village Chief who confirmed the incident to Daily Trust said it happened around 11am on Wednesday.
11. FG TO TACKLE INSECURITY WITH SATELLITE IMAGERIES.
PUNCH - The Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation has pledged to collaborate with security agencies on the production and usage of the 3D interactive map to assist security operatives in the war against insecurity in the country. The Surveyor General, Abdulganiyu Adebomehin, made the promise during a one-day meeting with the representatives of the Office of the National Security Adviser, the military, and other security agencies, according to a statement made available to The PUNCH. The statement was signed by Head of Press and Public Relations Abu, I. Michael. He stated that in view of the prevailing insecurity in the country, any approach that would solve the menace must be adopted.

The General Officer Commanding 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Obinna Ajunwa has charged officers and soldiers of the Division to perform their duties within the limits prescribed by law toward portraying the Nigerian Army in good light during the conduct of internal security operations and Peace Support Operations. Major General Ajunwa who was represented by the Division Training Officer Brigadier General Danladi Abdullahi gave the charge during the sensitization workshop organized by the Army Headquarters Department of Army Civil Military Affairs (DCMA) on enhancing the professionalism and responsiveness of the Nigerian Army Soldiers.
13. FORCE COMMANDER GEN SAWYERR COMMENDS UNISFA VIETNAMESE MILITARY ON CIMIC ACTIVITIES.
SPYETV - Force Commander, Maj Gen Sawyerrs has Commended the Commanding Officer Col Mac Duc Trong, his officers and sappers for their contribution to UNISFA ability to move, live and provide Protection of Civilian Mandate. The Force Commander gave the Commendation during his Visit to Highway location of the UNISFA Vietnamese Military Construction Engineering Company in the Abyei Box. 14. NOTORIOUS BANDIT NAMORO, EIGHT OTHER INFORMANTS ARRESTED BY POLICE OFFICERS.
CRIMECHANNEL.COM - A 39-year-old notorious armed bandit popularly called Umar NaMaro has been arrested by the Zamfara State Police Command alongside eight informants. Report revealed that they supply arms, ammunition, foodstuff, motorcycles, military uniforms and deliver ransom to bandits in the state. One AK-47, a Lar rifle, and 174 rounds of live ammunition was also recoverd from them. The Command Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf, stated this while parading the suspects in Zamfara on Saturday.
15. GOV HANDS OVER OPERATIONAL VEHICLES TO COMMAND, PROMISES TO REBUILD POLICE STATION.
CRIMECHANNEL.COM - The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has presented 10 Operational Vehicles to 10 Police Area Commands in the state. The presentation of the vehicles was made during an interactive programme held at the frontage of the Presidential Lodge, Government House, Agodi, Ibadan, said the vehicles were meant to assist the activities of the command and to boost the morale of the security men in the state. A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, indicated that the security challenges facing the nation were mega and multifarious, while the resources to tackle the problem are meagre.
16. KIDNAP FOR RANSOM; PASTOR APPREHENDED BY POLICE OPERATIVES.
CRIMECHANNEL.COM - The pastor of an ECWA Church Kwanan Kuka, Ngurore, in Yola South local government area, Joel Saul, has been arrested by men of the Adamawa State Police command for threatening to kidnap someone if the person does not give him N1 million. The Pastor was said to have written a letter to his victim where he demanded the one million naira. The pastor, who claimed to be the leader of the kidnappers in the area, further threatened to either kidnap or kill the victim if his demand is not met.
17. INSECURITY: I’VE PAID N30M RANSOM TO FREE MY PRIESTS FROM KIDNAPPERS – BISHOP KUKAH.
BARRISTERNG.COM - The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Kukah, has said he has paid almost N30m as ransom to secure the release of abducted priests. Kukah revealed this at a one-day “High-level forum on political communication and issue-based campaign in the 2023 general elections” in Abuja. The forum was organised by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) in collaboration with The Kukah Centre ahead of the expected commencement of campaigns by political parties on September 28, 2022.
18. JUST IN; GOVERNOR MOURNS AS POLICE CONFIRM 95 PEOPLE KILLED IN FLOOD DISASTER.
CRIMECHANNEL.COM - No fewer than 95 people have died in flood-related accidents in Jigawa State, the state police command has said. The state Police Public Relations Officer(PRO), DSP Lawal Shi’isu Adam, said that the disaster had caused grief for many families in the state. According to him, “out of the number, over 22 people died in canoe and boat related accidents, and over 30 people died in a building collapse, while others lost their lives due to drowning in rivers and ponds.
19. DANGEROUS WEAPONS SEIZED AS COMMAND ARREST SUSPECTED KILLERS OF POLICE, IMMIGRATION OFFICERS.
CRIMECHANNEL.COM - Two kidnap suspects were arrested recently when Jigawa State policemen invaded their hideout in the state. According to the state police command, DSP. Lawan Shiisu Adam, the arrest was based on a silent operation carried out in Larabawa herdsmen camp, in Gabasawa LGA Area of Kano State and Laraba Gurgunya village in Taura LGA, Jigawa State. Shiisu explained that “The operation was carried out on 18/09/2022 between the hours of 0700 to 1215hrs by the combined team of policemen from State Headquarters Dutse, Ringim Area Command, State Intelligence Bureau, Taura, and Ringim Divisions, as well as Local Vigilante group.”
20. OYO POLICE ARREST TRANS-BORDER ROBBERS, KIDNAPPERS, RECOVER VEHICLES, ARMS.
A statement sent to our reporter, by the Oyo state police command read, “On 01/09/2022 at about 1400hrs, a team of Police Operatives attached to the Oyo State Police Command’s Monitoring Unit, Ogbomoso operational base while on an intelligence-based anti-crime patrol within Ogbomoso town intercepted the kingpin of a notorious Trans-Border Car Snatching Syndicate along Ogbomoso/Oyo and when he was queried about the ownership of one KIA-RIA Car which he was driving, he was unable to give any satisfactory explanation.
