Nigerian star, Dapo Oyebanjo aka D’banj has opened up on his humble beginnings before fame.
Bangalee, as he is fondly called, said it wasn’t all bed of roses while he lived in the United Kingdom.
He revealed that he had to take up a security job where he worked twelve hours overnight to make a living.
“At that time, the oyinbos no need to dey check you for CCTV, they know how to monitor you. All they need you to do is click in every ten to fifteen minutes.”
D’Banj became a big Afropop star after he returned to Nigeria with his friend and erstwhile business partner, Don Jazzy. They formed MoHits records and signed five music acts before the end of the record label after their split as business partners.
