The Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA) organised a 5-Day Mid-Year 2022 courses appraisal conference for NA Schools from 18-22 July 22 at the TRADOC NA Auditorium.
Deputy Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Muhammad Dole in a press statement said this is in line with its core functions of evaluation, assessment and monitoring of training in Nigerian Army schools.
While declaring the conference opened on Monday, the Chief of Training (Army) Maj Gen AB Ibrahim said the purpose of the conference is to appraise the conduct and activities of all Nigerian Army training institutions in order to proffer solutions to identified challenges that will lead to combat efficiency and better management of the schools.
Maj Gen Ibrahim stressed that the concept of training is based on strengthening NA capacity in counter terrorism and counter insurgency operations, hence training of personnel must be deliberate and purposeful.
In his welcome address, the Chief of Training TRADOC NA Maj Gen JAL Jimoh lauded the efforts of the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya and the Commander TRADOC NA for various logistics and resources approved for NA schools to improve conducive environment for teaching and learning in all NA schools.
He reiterated the TRADOC NA readiness and determination to ensure NA schools excel in all approved courses through effective assessments and monitoring.
"It is very apt at the middle of the year to appraise courses conducted for the 6 months and proffering solutions on what needs to be done to improve on the remaining half of the year" he added.
The first day of the conference featured series of presentations, robust interactive sessions, remarks and comments from the Commandants and other participants.highlight of the events is group photograph.
