The Lassa in Askira/Uba Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Ahidjo Abdullahi, has commended the troops of Operation Hadin Kai and CJTF for putting up a strong resilience in a battle with fighters from the Boko Haram/Islamic State of West Africa Province and for repelling Thursdays terrorists attack on Lassa in Askira/Uba local government.
Abdullahi hailed them for killing and preventing the terrorists from wrecking havoc in the town.
Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst said that the local government Chairman also commended the gallantry exhibited by the troops in the failed incursion and the seizure of the vehicles used by the terrorists was worthy of commendation.
He also urged them to be more vigilante as the terrorist may be planing reprisal attack due to their defeat.
The Local Government Chairman also assured them of the commitment of the Borno state government toward supporting the security agencies to ensure that they succeeded in the fight against insurgency in the state.
