The Nigerian Army has reportedly repelled an attack coordinated by the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) in Dikwa town in North East of Borno.
According the counter insurgency expert and security analyst Zagazola Makama the attackers attempted to infiltrate into the town through the Maiduguri to Dikwa Road but met resistance from troops of Operation Hadin Kai engaged them in a gun battle and pushed them back.
The situation in the town is cool and calm.
