Troops have been mobilised from the army’s 117 battalions in Chibok town to repel an attack on Kautukari, a community in Chibok LGA of Borno state, that is currently under attack by suspected fighters of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP).
Military Intelligence told SpyeNews that the gallant Officer Commanding of the camp and his troops stood their ground and fought gallantly until reinforcement arrived which made the terrorists to scatter in disarray.
Reports also say, no lives was lost as Soldiers stationed at a military forward operation base (FOB) in Kwada, just 2km away from Kautukari fought gallantry to prevent the terrorists from gaining access into the community.
Spye News reports that the insurgents invaded the community around 6pm on Tuesday and started shooting randomly.
The suspected ISWAP fighters reportedly set some residents house ablaze while locals are fleeing into the bush for safety.
Kautukarius 17km away from Chibok town.
