1.7million Registered As JAMB Urges Candidates to Adhere to Examination Etiquette

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says, 1.7million candidates Registered Across the Country to seat for the examination.

The 2022 edition of the examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) kicked off across 750 centres nationwide on Friday and will continue till Saturday, May 14.

Those affected by the rain were the candidates scheduled to sit their examination by 7 a.m. as they claimed they suffered difficulties in accessing their centres due to flooding and traffic gridlock, especially in Lagos, Nigeria’s busy commercial nerve centre.

In Abuja, some of the candidates who sat for 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on May 6, 2022 at various Centres in Abuja spoke with SpyeNews said, they faced some challenges ranging from power failure to malfunctioning of some computer systems but the quick intervention of the engineers on standby made the examination session smooth and encouraging. 

Head of Operations FCT, Mrs Tella Elizabeth in her word urged candidates sitting for UTME Tto adhere strictly to Examination Etiquette 

She also reminded candidates of the need to adhere strictly to examination etiquette, warning that stiff penalty awaits anyone who runs afoul of the laid down rules and regulations governing the examination. 

She reiterated the board zero tolerance for examination infractions and other unwholesome practices that could undermine the sanctity of its examination. 

She maintained that the board as a responsible organisation, it is committed to providing a level playing field for all candidates in its upcoming 2022 UTME.
