Troops of Operation Desert Sanity have destroyed Boko Haram/ISWAP’s Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) and their enclaves around Njimia-Alafa axis in Borno State yesterday 23 March 2022.
A Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst Zagazola Makama said, contrary to some reports, Boko Haram/ISWAP Abu Maymunah Al-Ansari carried out a SVBIED attack on a group of the Nigerian military that had gathered in Arra Nigeria but no casualty nor any injury recorded.
Additional long distance pictures from the scene of the VBIED attack indicated how the bomber was taken out before causing any havoc. This also further confirmed that no vehicle of Nigerian Army vehicle was hit by the bomber.
Offensive clearance operation is still ongoing to deter terrorists freedom of action.
