By Olayemi Esan

Following the endorsement of former governor of Nasarawa State, Adamu as the APC Chhairman in the last APC Convention, the APC, National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu has announced the voluntary refund of nomination form fee paid by six national chairmanship aspirants who wished to get a refund of their nominee form fee.

Argungu made this known while featuring on a breakfast Show on Arise TV on Monday.

Adamu’s unopposed victory had caused ripples across the party strata, especially the remaining six national chairmanship aspirants who had reportedly lamented on millions of Naira spent on campaign among party members.

According to Argungu, the directive is from President Muhammadu Buhari to refund any aggrieved aspirants who wished to have his or her nominee form fee back.

Adamu, who was until recently the Chairman of the APC National Reconciliation Committee is the third substantive National Chairman of the party, as he took over from Comrade Adams Oshiomhole last Saturday.

Since Oshiomhole was sacked in June 2020, the party had been run by a 12-member caretaker committee led by the Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni.

President Muhammadu Buhari had before now expressed his preference for a consensus arrangement and was reported to have endorsed Senator Adamu.
