Some Principal Staff Officers of Naval Headquarters on Thursday paid a condolence visit to Mrs Grace I Ibrahim, wife of the late and former Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral II Ibrahim at their home in Abuja.
The former Chief of the Naval Staff and Chairman, Board of the National Inland Waterways Authority, Vice Admiral Ibrahim (rtd) CFR died on 4 January 2022, aged 69.
Vice Admiral Ibrahim (rtd) was actively involved in the ECOMOG Operation LIBERTY in Liberia during which he commanded the Nigerian Navy Ship OFIOM and Nigerian Navy Ship AMBE respectively. Thereafter, he served as the Deputy Defence Attaché in Cotonou, Republic of Benin.
The late Admiral was also the Chief of Logistics Naval Headquarters and later Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command.
