Justice Mojisola Dada-led Ikeja Special Offences Court has on Tuesday granted bail of N200 million to Instagram celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha.
Mustapha had earlier been re-arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on January 10 for allegedly laundering funds obtained through unlawful activities and retention of alleged proceeds of crime.
Mompha alongside his company, Ismalob Global Investment Limited, are standing trial on anamended 22-count charge bordering on cyber fraud and money laundering to the tune of N32.9bn.The bail was filed through his lawyer, Gboyega Oyewole (SAN).
The Court has also requested two sureties, one of which must own a property at the value of N100 million within its jurisdiction.
