After years of pressure, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, hinted that he might succumb to calls for a change of the nation’s security chiefs.

The President, while reactin

g to the release of hundreds of schoolboys abducted from a Katsina boarding school, in an interview with NTA, said he was extremely worried about the security situation in Nigeria and hoped that 2021 would be different.

To this end, he specifically said, “I am extremely worried about insecurity and I hope next year will be different. Those among the law enforcement agencies that will remain in charge will be extremely busy.”

On his message to law enforcement agencies amid rising insecurity, Buhari said, “Their effort is not good enough, but we will keep on trying.”
