News regarding accident, health, demise, funerals or so should be confirmed either by the artist rep, family, relevant authority or dedicated individual/committee so as to avoid causing the victim, their relatives multiple jeopardy. Half information is more dangerous than lies.
We must show that we are organised. Majority of these cases I have volunteered to act have leaders like Jide Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, Akeem Alimi(Ajala Jalingo) etc called me in. I reckon most stars avoid these tasks because of the many misundersting that comes with the role. But one person just have to do it.
I'm using this medium to correct the impression some critics are trying to establish that I derive pleasure announcing funerals of my colleagues or their immediate family. It doesnt add up. In carrying out these assignmennts, I'd play the role of PRO & WELFARE OFFICER together. I have to use my social media accounts for wider and quicker reach to colleagues and fans since the association have no dedicated website or social media accounts to use and before I come out to write anything, I ensure Relevant persons/Next of kin/family of the concern artist are aware. Sometimes I reject filming jobs to be available. I have been volunteering for over 10years, it just got to the notice of some Lately. Stop hating me.
Most hate parties I have suffered are always ignited by multiple fake accounts(in my opinion from envious fake friends or unrepentant enemies) which are perhaps executed by 2-3 persons before other contacts ignorantly joined in, so sad.
I love and respect my colleagues. I care for those I can in several other ways too, ask them. I have no plan to reject future calls since it has not stopped me from progressing in my filming career. Tnx.
