Following  a story by an online news platform that the #SaveMayowainitiative may have been a ruse, the actress, Toyin Aimakhu, has cried out on the scam issue because she is one of the organisers of the initiative.

According to the actress, the whole issue was a scam run by Mayowa Ahmed’s family.

“They tagged me, she sent a message to me… they said she’s my huge fan saying she had cancer and she needed help and wanted me to come… I showed the doctor the (medical) report and the doctor said ‘which report?’. They said it was a fake report.

“They just came up with the plan on Sunday. They now came to LUTH to appear as if they were in LUTH. When they saw me they said I did not help them to beg for money… that they don’t know anything.”

Toyin Aimakhu, who was one of those who spearheaded the fundraising.

#SaveMayowa raised over $100k on GoFundMe and millions of Naira.

Dear Toyin, I believe by now, you should know your left from your right. I wonder how lots of Nigerian celebrities cope with controversial issue and propaganda without having a good PR management. What they are only exposed to is having A PA, who carries their bags and make up kits... 

If you have a PR manager, he or she will be the one to get the valid Doctors report directly from LUTh and not from the family to raise fund for the victim or your PR will get a valid document from the hospital that TURKY Mayowa needed o travel abroad for treatment. 

Well it's a lesson for you..who is next... get a PR... Or enter more trouble in future...
