Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has shown he has a soft spot as he shed his party boy persona to do something amazing in the country.
The Shanghai Shenhua striker took to Instagram to show-off the gift items he shared with Heritage Homes, an orphanage in Lagos. “Nigerians deserve to live a better life, but the government alone cannot do everything.
It is left for organisations and individuals who are in a position to also help those in need,” the striker wrote alongside the photo.
In a period where Nigeria’s economy is at an all-time low, it can be said that Martins has done well. Martins reportedly earns over N2b ($6.6 million) per year at Shanghai Shenhua in China who he joined in January after leaving Seattle Sounders in the United States of America.
