As part of supporting
his journey towards further stability, Majek Fashek has been offered a
scholarship to get some training at a Computer Learning Centre, Lagos.
The entertainer
expressed delight in the offer for him to return to school even as he expressed
intentions to maximize the opportunity.
According to report, this
new initiative will help put the musician in a solid path to total recovery as
he integrates more with society.
The former embattled
singer struggled to gain acceptance in society as well as the Nigerian
entertainment industry following alleged substance-related issues.
In 2015, he was put under medical supervision
(at the Synapse Services Centre, an Abuja rehabilitation hospice) for several
months over issues relating to drug and alcohol abuse. He was discharged in
October, 2015 after which he made an appearance at the annual Felabration
concert in Lagos.
