Bizzare: Police Detain 14 Goats In Osun

0 Admin
No fewer than 14 goats are in police custody having been arrested by the Osun State Police command after the driver of the vehicle conveying them evaded arrest.
We gathered that the vehicle conveying the domestic animals was yesterday intercepted at Ede, the headquarters of Ede South local government area of the state.

Confirming the arrest of the goats to our correspondent on the telephone, the state police public relations officer, Mrs Folasade Odoro said the goats had been detained.
She said the goats would remain in police custody until the owner(s) showed up adding that investigation had begun.
A police source informed our correspondent that a team of policemen patrolling Sekona/Nigerian Army Regiment construction company highway had stopped the red-coloured Mitsubishi car conveying the goats but the driver reportedly took to his heels.
The source said the police team had sighted the dangerously speeding vehicle at Sekona junction around 1am on Monday before making an attempt to stop it.
The driver defied the police stop order and veered off. He subsequently ran off.
