Nan Thippharat, from Chachoengsao province in Thailand, married her lover Fiat in a weird wedding-funeral ceremony. According to local media reports, Nan and Fiat were planning to get married months before a youg man died of a sudden heart attack.
The ceremony was held at Fiat’s funeral in front of a large number of family and friends
Although Fiat’s death came as a shock, the bride refused to cancel their wedding and decided to tie the knot with her beloved man no matter what. The posthumous ceremony was attended by heartbroken relatives and friends of the couple.

Later Nan posted the wedding pictures and a video to her Facebook page, where she wrote: “I dreamed of our wedding. I saw us holding hands. Rest in peace. I love you, Fiat. Please know that our dream has come true. Heaven sent an angel to me. Fiat will remain in our memories forever, once a great love life #Love Never Dies.”

Explaining her actions Nan said: “It was my way of paying tribute to him in this life because I know one day we will be together for eternity in the next one. However, such marriage ceremonies are not recognised by law in Thailand. This is not the first time a grieving lover can’t get over the death of the beloved person. A month ago a man had a wedding and farewell ceremony on the same day as he married the ashes of his girlfriend in Hsinchu village, Taiwan.
