Intercontinental Hotel VI Lagos turns Tymeout with Tee-A to LightOut with Tee-A with one hour Blackout
This might not be news but I think, it must be discussed. Last Night at the one of the most expensive hotels in Lagos Nigeria where Comedian Tee-A had his Tymeoutwith Tee-A, guests and visitors who came for the talked about show were a little bit disappointed when Intercontinental Hotel hold them to ransom. At first it was a short Black out then, later the embarrassing one took about AN HOUR (Wakati Kan) to power up their generated, next was when they finally switched off the light and some expatriates were seen looking confused, asking the security men what went wrong.
When Pye got there with her crew....lol....don't let me hype myself too much, When I got there, from the main gate, the lady security informed me that, there is no light that, I will have to wait. At first I didn't understand what she wa spelling me until when a colleague said, "Pye, Light No dey". My response was quite embarrassing cos, I asked the security, if I am at Intercontinental Hotel and she replied 'Yes'
Now, walking into the hotel, the whole reception was dark. We managed to use the Lift cos, that one was working. Finally, the light was restored and the event started. This time,comedian Seyi Law had started to make guest laugh and when this happened, he decided to continue without any hindrances. Guest that came for Tymeout with Tee-A were happy seeing this and e was applauded.
Lesson (Eko ti O ko wa)
1. Don't ever see an Hotel (in Nigera Only) as a place where there won't be Power failure
2. No one as a perfect event
3. No one is perfect
4. Expect the unexpectable
5. Always adapt to situation
6. There is no difference between your house and hotels except the 'Room Service'
