Nigerians Blast Adesina Over His Recent Comments

The recent comments by Femi Adeshina, the special adviser on media and publicity to the president, on the age grade of ministerial nominees have sparked off criticisms from Nigerians.
President Muhammadu Buhari and Femi Adesina.
Earlier today, October 12, Adesina took to social media to assure Nigerians that the president will respect the constitution while appointing ministers, and noted that the age of nominees does not matter.

“People who have been nominated are qualified and are Nigerians. Talking of age, there is a saying that “age does not matter”.
“We must rather talk of the mental age rather than the chronological age. It is not the chronological age that matters,” he tweeted.
Although the comment have triggered mixed reactions among Nigerians, the majority believes that President Buhari should have chosen ministerial nominees among young promising politicians.

However, some Nigerians agree with Adesina that the older wine is the better.
