Four suspected kidnappers behind the abduction of Vanguard columnist, Donu Kogbara have been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

This Day reports that Donu was abducted on Sunday, August 30 in front of her house in the Nkpogu area of Port Harcourt. The kidnappers dressed in police uniforms and drove off in a CRV jeep. She was later released 12 days later in one of the creeks in the Niger Delta region.
According to Vanguard, four men were arrested in connection to the kidnapping and were paraded at the DSS Rivers state headquarters on Forces Avenue, old GRA.
Mr Ibrahim Ngoshe, the director of DSS in the state said the suspects confessed to the crime and that they were 11 in number. They also added that were behind high profile kidnapping in the state. He said security operatives were on the trail of the rest of the gang members.
Items reportedly recovered from the suspects include a pump action gun and some ammunition.
Daily Post reports that Ngoshe begged the citizens for useful information that might help security operatives to arrest the other gang members.
“The arrest is sequel to some measure we took to get to the root, even though Kogbara has been released.
“It is a 13-man gang and the leader of the gang, Precious is now at large. I want to use this medium to call on parents to caution their children.”
