Contrary to the recent report that Veteran actor, Antar Laniyan may become the next King of Oshogbo, Osun State-Nigeria, the actor has debunked the rumour.
In a telephone chat with Pyemedia, the actor strongly disagree with the report and revealed that, he is not having any ambition now or in the nearest future to become the next king.
"It is not ideal for a blogger or journalist to publish a false news without having a thorough research" he added.
Antar also stated that, the King, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun is my brother and he is very alive and it is not professional for any publisher to publish such news.
Antar Laniyan is one of the oldest actors in the Yoruba movie industry who started acting at age 15 and till date, he still very much relevant in the industry. Though, his vision was to become a soldier but based on the interest he showed for acting when he was in Primary school after winning many trophies for the school. This prompted his school principal to advise him to go for theatre acts. Aside his status as an actor, many don’t know that the Osun State-born actor is also a prince in Osogbo Osun State and his royal name is Adegbidin literarily mean Shining Crown.
