Although palace sources Chiefs have refused to confirm nor
deny the sudden death of the paramount ruler of Warri
Kingdom, Pyemedia has been hinted by a close family
source that the monarch has died.

What Killed Olu Of Warri?
HRM Ogiame Atuwase II, the Olu of Warri Kingdom passed on
to glory on Thursday the 3rd of September 2015 at an
undisclosed hospital in Lagos where he was rushed to when
his condition became critical days after Delta State Governor
Ifeanyi Okowa paid him a visit. He reportedly battle stroke for
close to 6 months before his death.
Just as it happened when Ife Monarch Oba Sijuwade died, no
true Itsekiri son would announce Olu Warri’s death until the
required traditional duty is performed.
The deceased was the only son of his father, Olu Erejuwa II.
The trained lawyer took over his father’s throne on the 2nd of
May 1987.
