This is so sad.
Rapper Sean Price of the groupHeltah Skeltah died in his sleep at 43-years-old, according to reports coming out on Saturday.
Price had been a member of Heltah Skeltah before more recently transitioning to become a member of Boot Camp Clik, another rap group based in New York. He had released his first solo album in 2005, and at the time of his death was working on more solo music, as well.
His representatives told the media in a statement:
"It is with beyond a heavy heart that Duck Down Music is sadly confirming that Sean Price passed away early this morning in his Brooklyn apartment, Saturday, August 8th, 2015. The cause of death is currently unknown, but it was reported that he died in his sleep. He's survived by his wife, and his three children… Sean's family and friends are asking for time to grieve and process the news. Further details will be issued when more information is available."
Obviously, all of our thoughts are with Price's family and friends during this extremely difficult time.
