Tobi Oyelakin ,wife of Nigeria comedian and TV
producer, Teju Babyface’s, was attacked by
unknown hoodlums yesterday while on her way to
Lagos Mainland.
According to Dailypostng, she was with her driver and three other
females when some armed men approached them at
the Eko-Bridge, while they were held in a gridlock.
The masked men had knocked on her car window
with a torchlight, demanding she wine down. The
hoodlums were forced to smash the rear windows
on both side of the car when she refused to obey
their order.
After some harassment, the hoodlums succeeded,
and left with items found in some bags belonging to
the ladies that were with her in the car.
It was however disclosed that the attack lasted for
about 2 minutes while other motorist watched
without making any attempt.
Few minutes later, the police patrol van arrive and
after she narrated the incidenct, the police threw a
little shade by saying “ah, those boys have started
again”
Speaking on the issue, Teju said;
“One realizes that this is becoming almost
commonplace and acceptable in Lagos as reports
reaching us indicate that it happens daily.
very well be an axiom, but I share this with you to
bring attention to what threatens to become
endemic. A great contretemps I must confess.”
