Agbe community, headquarters of Akoko Northwest
local government area of Ondo State was in pensive
mood Thursday afternoon following the mysterious
death of a school boy, simply called Muyiwa.
Sources the deceased’s close colleague, “Ade”
allegedly hit him with a fetish ring, called “Oruka
Oogun” in Yoruba parlance.
The suspect was said to have reported himself to
the police, claiming that he went through the
traditional medicine reference book he inherited from
his late father and prepared the killer charm.
He consequently decided to test it on his friend,
which prompted the sudden death of Muyiwa.
It was learnt that the suspect had been arrested and
detained at Oke-Agbe Police Station. Efforts to
speak with the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) in Oke-
Agbe and State Police Spokesman, Wole Ogodo were
unsuccessful as at press time.
